The Different types of ability and spells There are many type of abilities in the card game. They are able to help you win the game and prevent you from losing at times. There is static abilities which means that the ability will always stay on. Trigger abilities is a ability that happens once it hits the battlefield and that's it only one time deal. Activated Abilities is ware you the player has to pay for it with a certain mana cost. The Annihilator: If a creature with annihilator attacks. The defending player must sacrifices X amount of permanents depending on the txt of the card. Cascade: Once a creature comes in to the battlefield with this ability. The player reveals the top cards of his deck. When nonland card shows up with a less mana cost then the card. The player may play it without paying the mana cost. Cycling: Cycling allows the player to discard the card with cycle by paying X mana cost. It depends on the card for the mana cost. Once done the player draws a new card from his/her deck. Exalted: If a creature attacks alone it will get a +1/+1 counter on it until end of turn. Kicker: when some play a spell with its normal cost. Kicker is a add on to the cost of it. When the card is kicked a ability is activated. Landfall: Level up: The only time you can play this ability is when you can play a sorcery. When you pad its cost of the level up ability. It gains a level counter. The attack and the defends will change and it will gain a new abilities. Modular: A creature comes in to the battlefield whit X +1/+1 counters. X is were how much mana you paid while you paid the casting cost. When the creature is sent to the graveyard the counters can go to a target artifact creature. Multikicker: Multikicker is the same thing to the kicker ability but you are able to kick it as many times you what Persist: If a creature has a -1/-1 counter on it and put in the graveyard. It will come back in to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. Rebound: Once you played a spell with rebound from your hand it is exiled after use. At the begging of your upkeep you are able to play it with out paying its mana cost. Totem armor: Totem armor are only on Auras. If a creature is destroyed by battle or by a ability the Aura with totem armor is destroyed. Unearth: When a creature is sent to a graveyard and has unearth. It is able to come back to the battlefield by casting its mana cost for unearth. It comes in to play with hast and it is exiled once it leave the battlefield or at the end of turn.
